I'm getting married August 21st and was wondering when I should send them out. Some invites have to go to Puerto Rico, Canada and South America, as well as all over the U.S. Do you think Sending them out the last week of May and then asking for the RSVP by the fist week in July is right? When are yu all sending them out and what are your rsvp dates in relation to your weddings? Thanks Ladies!

Re: Invitations?
the first week in july is pretty early for 8/21... depending on when your RH needs a final count to rsvp date should only be 1 months before the wedding date. I'm sending mine out the 2nd week in june and putting an rsvp date july 24th

Mailing Invites: 6/5/09 RSVP date: 8/5/09 Final Head count due to RH 8/22 Wedding 9/5/09
Your time frame sounds perfect to me. You are mailing them 3 months in advance and giving 2 months to RSVP

Re: Invitations?
Just remember you don't want too much time b/w sending the invite and RSVP date. If there's too much time, people will put the invite in a pile and forget to RSVP. Then you'll get stuck making lots of calls.

Re: Invitations?
I sent a good number of invites abroad to Europe and India. For these, I sent them about 3 weeks EARLIER than everyone else's invitation so people could start making flight arrangements. No matter how early you send STDs, there are always those who don't do anything until they get the invitation.
