I just started looking and have no idea what the norm is...I picked out one I kind of liked and got quoted $1,900 for 225 invitations...is this a high quote? Where are the best places to look for them?
Thanks girls!!
Edited to add the price includes everything (the response card, reception card, etc)

Re: Invitations
They were relatively plain which is what made me think that the price was outrageous....but the woman kept telling me thats the cheapest I'll find them.
You can't tell in the picture, but the paper used is shimmery, not plain

$1900 for that...cmon girl that is way way to high and there is nothing particular about them.
You will find cheaper, just search the internet....

Re: Invitations
hmm yeah maybe go for a second opinion... mine are pocket invites with thermography, ribbon, a rhinestone buckle and have Hebrew writing on it (which apparently is an added expense) lol

Re: Invitations
Guess I have some research to do....this woman today made it sound like that's what I'll pay for 'low end' invites
Thanks for the feedback
Any recommendations of where else to look are also appreciated

She is charging you approximately 8.50 an invite. Way too much for no bling/crystal/etc.
What are you looking for in an invite for your wedding specifically?
I am currently in the invitation portion of my planning. I am semi DIYing it buy putting them together using different vendors. More cost effective for what I want.
I will be more then happy to help you!

Re: Invitations
I got my invites from an Etsy seller, Ella's Paper, she also has a web site. She's great to work with and she completely customizes the design and colors for you. I paid $257 for 75 invites including RSVP and digital calligraphy on all envelopes! We also had a really difficult color, our theme is coral so she kept sending us samples until the color was spot on!
We already got all of them in the mail and we love them!
I'm not spending more than $400 for mine on American Wedding website.
Invitations go in the trash after the wedding, so why pay so much money for something people don't care about. Use the extra money for something else.
