I just started looking and have no idea what the norm is...I picked out one I kind of liked and got quoted $1,900 for 225 invitations...is this a high quote? Where are the best places to look for them?

Edited to add the price includes everything (the response card, reception card, etc)

I'm not spending more than $400 for mine on American Wedding website.

Invitations go in the trash after the wedding, so why pay so much money for something people don't care about. Use the extra money for something else.

ahhh i totally agree but figured whatever im only doing this once... but seriously it really is SUCH a waste of $$

we are using ellas paper as well and the pricing includes the shimmery paper - def check her out!!!!!!! that quote you got is RIDICULOUS for such a plain invite!
