Who did you use for invitations? I appreciate all of your experiences. Thanks!

Re: Invitations
I think I'm semi DIY-ing my invites and other printed materials. There are free templates on weddingchicks.com, and I'll probably have them printed up. Here's what I'm toying around with:
We bought Carlson Craft invitations. We got them from a local stationary store and they were priced much cheaper than going to a wedding store or website. This is a sample of my invitation.

I did something similar. I went to Party City and looked through all the books. We found the ones we like and then I did a google search for them and ordered them online for a really great price! Invites to us weren't the most important thing to spend money on so we got flat invites (150 for $350). That price included all the inserts and lined envelopes.

Let's try this again
That's the template we used, I love the way it came out! We did peach something & tiffany blue colors for all the pieces (the coordinating options and our invites are in my photo album) but we both LOVED the funky chevron pattern. I edited a piece of the chevrons and blew it up and had it added on the back, too.
The purple and black is really elegant/romantic!
And, because I have to rave, wedding chicks is awesome

Im going to do something similar bc I feel the same. I'd rather the money go toward something else then super fancy invites that most people throw out.

All your paper items look great! And I love the idea of putting a back on the invite, I might have to steal that
Wedding chicks has been pretty awesome. I love that they have almost all the coordinating pieces, and I can DIY the ones they don't. Like other posters said, i just can't justify spending so much on something people will throw out.

I ordered them on there website. I ordered a few samples. I just couldn't justify spending hundreds of dollars. I put a personal touch on them and i love the quality and of course the price.

Re: Invitations
I used magnetstreet. The prices were reasonable and they came out beautiful and the quality was amazing. Invitations were also something I didnt want to spend a lot on but it was also important to be able to incorporate my colors into the invitation. I also lucked out because when i ordered my invitations they were running a 20% off special.

Just booked with Jess Rini (Jessica Leigh Paperie) who is awesome. She does great work and I love being able to work with her to custom-make our invites.
