Invitations

I'm having a hard time trying to decide how much I should spend on invitations. I don't my invitations to look cheap but then again I don't want to spend a couple of hundred of dollars on something that people are going to throw away...any suggestions on a budget?

Invitations

I would love to hear the answer to this... I want them to be beautiful and stand out, but I know it will get thrown out as soon as the wedding is over. (As I just did last night from a wedding I went to this weekend) I've heard mixed things about places like vista print when it comes to invitations...

Re: Invitations

I had the same problem. The cheaper invitations I felt LOOKED cheap and I didn't want to spend a lot. In the end I spent more than I wanted, about $700. I just couldn't send invites I felt embarassed by, just to save money.

Re: Invitations

I think a good budget would be $3.50 each and up for invitations.
Yes, you can probably get them at a better price, but you will need to decide what you must have and what you can do without.

Don't forget to budget for stamps which will be $.066 & $.46 on average.
Start getting free samples, it will help you narrow down what you don't want.

Re: Invitations

I had the same issue when I was going through invitation vendors. CHeeky Glam ended up recommending Sweet Stuff Designs, who did Jamies' invitation. I spoke with Diana, and she showed me some of her work and created a few designs based on the looks I liked. She sent me samples, and I booked with her.

Her work is extremely well paid, and beautiful. I ended up getting the invitations, (she did the guests names on the envelopes and return addresses), table numbers, seating chart, church programs and a gift I gave DH.

She was GREAT!!! Everything was SO SO SO BEAUTIFUL AND WELL MADE. I recommended her to a few brides already who have said the same thing as I am writing.

Her prices are great, I spent under $500 for all of that. She is very talented in what she does. She packages everything so nicely.

You won't be disappointed. I PROMISE!!
