Invitations are not fun!!!!

Invitations are not fun!!!!

This has got to be the most painful part of wedding planning.

I just want a simple invitation with high quality cardstock. Is that so hard?!??!

Can you recommend a vendor where I can go and touch the stationary that isn't too expensive? I'd like to spend $10 max per invitation.

Wedding Library on Park Ave quoted me $91 per invitation for a boxed invitation. Insanity!

I didn't realize until later but I believe Wedding Library is owned by Saks Fifth Ave.

I don't need anything super fancy. I just want it to be simple and classy on high quality paper.

I find it difficult to use online vendors bc they all look the same. I can't tell the paper quality and it's all about the cardstock when it comes to invitations.

can't you get samples before you order?

There are so many choices. It is giving me such a headache. I'd really prefer to go with a vendor where I can visit.

The texture of the paper is what really makes the difference.

I requested catalogs from online vendors but they really all look the same!

Go to party city, or even minute man press (we saw books there last night) they will have the sample books, then you can order them...

Also go to Crane, I believe they are located in Rockefeller Center, they have high quality paper products that are simple and elegant. They were out of my price range but, I love their stuff!

Re: Invitations are not fun!!!!

$10 per invitation?! $91 per invitation?! Do you mean including printed envelopes, response cards, reception cards, liner envelope etc?
I think I paid under $5 for each if you phrase it that way. Granted it's not the highest quality card stock, but it's a pretty invitation.
You can DEFINITELY get samples from online catalogs, because I got LOADS before ordering mine

Try Kate's Paperie. They have a few location sin the city. I used them for my STD and enjoyed working them. They have tables so you can fip through books and not feel pressured. I also didn't enjoy the whole invite thing! It is overwhelming. Just remember that it is an ivite and if you want something classic on good stock to ask the salesperson for help.

I would also recomend not bringing the FH and plan on getting a cocktail afterwards

Check out Crane's. Their invitations are high end and printed on very high quality stock. They have a retail locator on their site so you can see their stuff in person.

Good luck!

We found invitations the worst part! I really recommend not from a box. They are an online vendor.
