I am really traditional when it comes to invites and like ecru or ivory colored stock with gold lettering. They do not have to match my merlot colored dress or my pink and merlot flowers and programs, do they?? I will be having other gold accents throughout the wedding. help...I would like to order soon. I attached pictures of my scheme for reference.

They don't have to match, I was just told the invites should match the style of your wedding, not necessarily the color. (IE formal wedding, formal invite, etc.)
I chose red for my invites because I was tired of seeing the same old traditional white and ivory invites and wanted something slightly different.

No..doesn't need to match, but I want to thank you for posting the pic of the flowers...it's EXACTLY the colors I want, and I wasnt able to find it before...any chance you have more pics in that color scheme to share? Love it!!

I dont think so - Im doing my tables in ivory lines, gold runners my girls are in Burgundy my flowers are Burgundy and white
my invites are white with ivory border and grey writing (sounds ugly put looks good)
