invitations don't have to match your BM dresses do they???

I am really traditional when it comes to invites and like ecru or ivory colored stock with gold lettering. They do not have to match my merlot colored dress or my pink and merlot flowers and programs, do they?? I will be having other gold accents throughout the wedding. help...I would like to order soon. I attached pictures of my scheme for reference.

I have seen some brides match their invitations to their wedding colors but you do not have to! In fact, I bet most people won't notice if you match them or don't match them.

It doesn't really matter - it's up to you. Mine do just because the nayv blue is my favorite color.
