We have saved a lot of money on our wedding so far, and next step is looking at invites. FH and I were thinking maybe it will be less $$$ at a printing place and will look nicer. Any opinions, or know anything about this?

Re: Invitations from a printer or a company?
we had debi from blooming quill hand write our invite set in calligraphy- i must say it looks absolutely stunning- exactly what i wanted!
then we took them to minuteman press & had the printer print the invites, back tab of envelope, response card, & response card envelope.
my mom is friendly with the printer, so we really only had to pay the calligraphy lady (nominal fee, imo) & for the paper. much much much cheaper than any invite in any catalog i looked at. also cheaper than some of the vendors from this site (who do beautiful work, by the way).
most brides (i think) order invites from a company, but i really wanted the unique calligraphy so this worked out best for us.

Spel- Debbi from the Blooming Quill does beautiful work. Several of my friends have used her for their envelopes and that is who I will be using. The sample she sent of an invite was stunning! Your invite must be just gorgeous!
