invitations - labels??!

I just got done sending out my STD's and I did the labels myself. They were really easy. I went to Staples and bought the Avery ones.

I do think that labels are informal for a wedding invitation but that's just my opinion.

I used plain old white labels on black envelopes. Looked fine, still got married. I guess I didn't anger the wedding gods too much.

I used clear lables with a really nice font- Looked almost like it was printed right on the envelope. Noone said anything. And if they did -they didnt say anything to anyone in my family- I would have heard.

i dont know why they are unacceptable. Its only an address.
