Invitations-- on line or in store? Help!

Hey ladies-- I really need to get my invitations done done done! I am finding that the same invitations run cheaper on line vs. the store.
Anyone have any thoughts on the pros and cons of ordering on line vs. in person other than the price difference?

Re: Invitations-- on line or in store? Help!

I found ordering online much easier for me. I HATE dealing with people (I have ZERO patience) and the people in the stores were driving me to murder. I ordered from www.theamericanwedding.com and loved loved loved the invitations I got. They allow you to order a few samples at a time so you get to see the quality beforehand. HTH!

Re: Invitations-- on line or in store? Help!

I had a great experience with theamericanwedding.com They show you a proof right away and they were shipped to my house in about 5 days. Plus I got 150 invitations with response cards, special ink and return address printed on the envelopes for $230.

Re: Invitations-- on line or in store? Help!

I'm a online shopper. www.rexcraft.com has all kind of budgets and a samples are great and not cheap looking. I think I need a 12 step program from all the samples I have ordered. Just take a look and order samples until you find the one for you.

Re: Invitations-- on line or in store? Help!

i got mine on etsy.com and put in an alchemy of what i wanted : color, style, how many i needed and the price i was willing to pay and about 50 vendors contacted me that day. The women I went through was amazing and did beautiful work. :)

if you have any questions on how this works just send me an FM :) I saved a ton of money and got beautiful invites!

Re: Invitations-- on line or in store? Help!

i 100% believe in going to a store, and seeing what the quality is going to look like. i am a huge paper person so this is important to me.

plus when you actually do your invitations with a sales associate, they can really help you with proper wording, and customization selections.

Re: Invitations-- on line or in store? Help!

They have really affordable and nice invites on Costco.com.

Most online sites will send you a sample of the invites you are interested in so you can see the paper quality, etc for a nominal fee.

I'll be ordering mine online...I just feel like it'll be cheaper that way.

I've gotten invitations for other events online and I think its so much easier. If you are Net savy, you can find invite wording and ettiquette, examples, etc. You can order the sample to see the texture and quality. You can visit a store to get an idea of what you want, then price it out online and see the savings.

Re: Invitations-- on line or in store? Help!

I ordered mine online at theamerican wedding.com- They will send you free samples and they were really easy to work with- I paid extra to have a proof b/c I was nervous that there would be an error- I ordered 175 invites with all of the inserts for $308. I am really happy with them.

Re: Invitations-- on line or in store? Help!

DH and I looked in a few stores because I thought it would be better to deal with a person and see the sample in person. I also looked online beforehand to see what i liked. Well i wound up ordering our invites from costco.com. i had no problems with them. it was just as easy to do it online. they answered emails promptly and the one time i did have to call for something, it was just as easy. i would recommend doing it online to anyone.
