Invitations Took so LONG to assemble
Wow, I cannot believe it took 6 people and 5 hours to assemble 150 wedding invitations. Nobody warned me. I was thinking about doing this myself and then I figured, let me have my girls over for a friendly bridal get-together. My goodness we laughed all night. We literally had an assembly lined. So many things to fold and organize.
I sent them out but still have no idea if I did them right. Each one of us had an opinion on what should go where.
My invitations are completely made of vellum and are tri-fold. They say your supposed to put everything in the 2nd flap-BUT it would ruin the effect of my invite so therefore-we had problems from the start.
Please answer these questions for my own peace of mind....( even though it's too late to change)
The inside envelope holds everything and gets placed in the outer envelope with names showing when you pull out. Correct?
The actual invitation- when you open the flap of the 2nd envelope, do you pull out the Folded side of the invite on top or open side on top?
Do all the little pieces go in front or behind the invite when placing it in the envelope?(response, reception card, directions)
Does the response card goes totally inside its envelope?
In order top to bottom... the reception card, directions for both church & reception, then the response card. I put them all behind another in that order. Is that right?
Do people really look at these things? I was so freaked out.
P.S. Don't wear colored nailpolish. My friend had to get demoted from stuffing to folding.
