writing out the addresses yourself... not in print but in script...
Is that completely cheesy??

Why don't you get clear address labels (Staples) and run them through your crappy printer to see if they come out okay? just a thought.....

That's what we are doing. I refuse to pay someone to write them out or sit at the printer changing envelopes and hoping that they don't get messed up.
I figure the people usually through out the envelopes and most likely the entire invitation so why go through all the trouble.

I wish I had nice enough handwriting to write out the address' myself. It would add that personal touch! Go for it!!

Re: Invitations: What do you think of...
can you print them at work or have access to a good printer? otherwise there are companies that will address the envelopes for you thru a printer...someone raved about one the other day...
i still think handwriting them is perfectly fine also...depends what you want!

Re: Invitations: What do you think of...
i just posted about this the other day....
i think it is so much easier to address them by hand than to sit at a printer...
i refuse to get a calligrapher...
my penmanship is nice, so i am going to buy a good fountain pen and do it myself...
my friend at work said she'd help me with the printer if i changed my mind...

Yes, they're clear so you can barely see them! I do it all the time for my client parties at work. I'm going to also use the clear lables for all my thank you's for bridal shower and wedding ty's.

Re: Invitations: What do you think of...
Personally I think clear labels are ok for bridal shower invites or even thank you notes, but not for wedding invitations (JMO).
I would hand write in pretty script before doing labels. That said, I would 100% run them through the printer before hand writing them ... my hand is cramping just at the thought
So I vote handwrite if you don't want to print them.

I'm writing mine out myself also. I have very good handwriting, so it's okay. Plus my invites are not super fancy where I would have to do it.

I am going to attempt to print mine out on my printer if I can get it to work.
