Sorry to be yet another person w/ these questions...
No inner envelope----Do I put 'Mr. _____ and Guest' on envelope?
Also, we are inviting parents and their 4 adult children who all live at the same house. Do we send an invite to each person?
If someone is the Dean of a school, do we say, 'Dean ______ and Mr. _____' ?
Thanks for any help you can give! I can't believe it's time for me to send out my invites.

Re: Invite Addressing ?'s
If the children are all over 18, I would send them each their own invitation. Sorry I am not sure about your other 2 questions

Re: Invite Addressing ?'s
For the inner envelope that's what we did. For the children at the same house, we sent 1 invitation. I don't think it's right according to etiquette but since people keep being added, we were worried we were going to run out of invites. On the inner envelope we did Mr. & Mrs. King, second line Michelle and Alissa. I don't think you write Dean on any envelopes but that I'm not sure about. Good luck!

Re: Invite Addressing ?'s
i don't have an inner envelope and for those people i am inviting with a guest and i don't know the guests name, I am addressing like you wrote.
'Mr John Doe and Guest' If I know the guests name, I am going to write it.
for those families where i am inviting the children, if they are over 18 i'm sending their own invitation, but for a few families i'm putting each child's name on the invitiation.
Mr & Mrs John Doe Mr. John Doe Ms Jane Doe
Some people told me they were just writing 'Mr & Mrs John Doe and family' instead of everyones name. HTH!

Re: Invite Addressing ?'s
is it possible to call up or find out the 'and guest's name'?
if not i would just put the and guest on the outside (if there is no indication on the rsvp card that 2 places are reserved)...just so the person knows they can come with someone.

Considering that some of my friend's have a different boyfriend each week, there is no way of knowing who they will be dating in September!!!
I guess I'll just put 'and guest'. Thanks!
