So I tried looking this up online and got conflicting answers. We are not inviting any children to the wedding, except FH's Uncle and Aunt with their 3 older boys ( one is 20, 17, and 15). I know the 20 yr old is supposed to get his own invite but im thinking its ok not to since he's still in college and they all live under the same roof right? Also, which way of addressing their envelope is correct? Keep in mind we have an inner envelope that we are leaving blank so everything has to be written on the outer....
A) Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith and family
B) Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith Johnathan, Marc, and Scott
C) The Smith Family

Re: Invite Etiquette...And Family???
we didn't invite FH's cousins, two are 17 and one is 21, with dates. we added their full name to the invites under the parents, in order of age.

Re: Invite Etiquette...And Family???
I would think either the first or third wordings sounds the best.

Re: Invite Etiquette...And Family???
I just did 'The Smith Family' for any family over 3 people that all lived in the same house! so much easier and less invites too! It seems silly to send 4 invites to 1 house!

i had outer and inners so i addressed the outside to the smith family and did mrs and mrs smith, then the kids first names on the next time in order of age...since ure leaving the inner blank...either what u wrote above or just smith family. i think theyll get it

Re: Invite Etiquette...And Family???
i have cousins who live at home - one is in college and the other is a college grad so i planned on addressing like them like this:
Mr. and Mrs. Smith Mr. Joe Smith Mr. John Smith

Re: Invite Etiquette...And Family???
I did 'and family' there was no way I was wasting postage and the $$ I paid for the invite sending multiple invites to the same household.
