My wedding invitations don't come with an inner envelope, only an outer envelope. Has anyone ever heard of this before?
How do I address it to someone who is invited with a guest?
Anyone else's invites like this, too?
I've been told that this is considered a more modern twist on a conservative invitation. Usually only the more conservative invites have double envelopes.
Thoughts? I don't think inner envelopes are available and hope I don't have to pick new ones . . . they are exactly what we wanted!
Yes, not all invites come with inner envelopes; the way you would address it is writing the guest information on the outer envelope...

What if it is Ms. Becky Smith and a guest. How do you address the outer envelope, 'Ms. Becky Smith and Guest'? If not, how does someone know if they are being invited w/ a guest?

Yep, that's what my sister did for hers.

Yes, but we're really supposed to find out the name of the 'guest' so that 'and guest' does not appear. However, I didn't do that because who has the time to call all these people? The way you wrote it is fine. I found www.verseit.com to be very helpful.

Thank you both so much. That is a great website, too!

Re: Invite Issue
I put 'and guest' on the outer too if I didn't know the name.

Re: Invite Issue
glad i did a search because I was about to post this same question. I have the identical dilema. We are inviting everyone with a guest and I felt that putting guest on the outer envelope didn't look right but I guess it's acceptable

Re: Invite Issue
Yes, you would write 'and Guest' on the outer envelope. I also picked an invite that does not have an inner envelope available. I have not ordered it yet, though.
