invite labels: hand written or not

I was thinking about just typing everyone's mailing address on the computer and sticking them on the envelopes. I figured it would say time between the wedding invites, bridal shower, and thank you's. But I am hearing that is very tacky?? Any thoughts??

IMO I prefer it actually on the envelope rather than on a label. We actually printed ours thru the printer and it took a little longer than labels would have b/c we had to run each one thru then type the next one then run that thru... Some ppl are going to disagree w/ me b/c they'll say they get thrown out anyway. I'd prefer them that way or hand written though
Also, that comment is only about the wedding invites- the rest of them I say go for labels b/c they're not formal like a wedding is. Another thing, at my shower my MOH and mom asked everyone to write their address on an envelope and actually gave me my thank you cards- and the envelopes were already preadressed by the ppl there- so I just had to write out the ones who sent gifts or who didn't get a chance to write it on an envelope- it saved me a lot of writing.
