Invite List Changes-Sort of Venting and a ??
Ok, so a long time ago we made our guest list and we flip-flopped about quite a few people but we came to a solid conclusion, with rules about dates etc etc.
Last week we did make one addition- my cousins gf, I found out they have been together like 3 years, and she came to Easter dinner, so we added her to the list. Which was ok because unfortunately, one of FH neighbors who was invited passed away a few weeks ago. So we were still even.
Now we are uninviting someone and replacing her w/ another, much more deserving friend. I feel a little weird doing this though b/c she already got a STD! But on the other hand I'm really ok with it b/c I didn't really want her there any way.
Background info: She (we'll call her A) is a 'friend' of FH. FH was friends w/ her older brother (we'll call him B) since Elementary school and all through HS. B never liked me, ever. I was taking his friend away from him, b/c FH was spending time w/ me and not B anymore. I was never fond of B either. Then B went off and married his 'first', who hated FH so B and FH stopped talking. So once A was a little older FH started hanging out with her, he always stayed close w/ the family and lived around the block so they saw each other all the time. Problem is that A is totally infatuated with FH! It's one of those she fell in love w/ her older brothers cute friend situations. Needless to say, A hates me. And FH has stayed friends with her but everytime we would invite her to come out with us she would backout when she found out I was going to be there. And when we are out together she likes to tell stories about things she and FH would do before we got engaged, stories I already know about and I'm not intimidated by them at all, oh and she likes to put her arm around him when she tells these stories.
So I've always felt weird that we were inviting A but not her brother. But now neither of them is invited.
Please tell me its ok to not invite her even though she got a STD! (FH is telling her that we're moving the date up for some reason, and have to cut the list as a result. (I hate that he's lying but I don not want her to show up)
