Invite Question

My mother is paying for our reception, so of course I'm going to word the invitation with her as hostess, but today she mentioned having the responses go to her house? Is that the proper thing to do? I would prefer them to come to our home because isn't that part of the fun getting back your responses & seeing who says yes? I'd like to hear any feedback you girls have. Oh, and just an FYI she isn't paying for the whole wedding, so if I did that might it offend my FILS & other people who are contributating?

My parents and my FIL's both helped and we are paying for the rest, so I put both of their names on the invites(they were both thrilled). I did have the responses sent to myself. You are right it is fun getting the responses everyday!
