Invite Question

So, I found invites that I LOOOOOVVVEEEE. Of course, they involve animals. Anyhow, my wedding is 366 days, 13 hours and 28 minutes away. I fear that if I order the invites now, something might happen to the sticky stuff on the envelopes. My issue is, even if I wait until next year to order them, I'll still have them all summer, so wont the sticky stuff get messed up then anyway? What should I do. Please help.

I've posted before, but here they are again:

Re: Invite Question

I wouldn't think this would be a problem. I keep ALOT of different papers and envelopes in my house for different printing jobs I have done and I have never run into this issue. I can check with MOHs father tomorrow. He is a printer and would know more definitively if it would be an issue.

Invites are really nice. Different, I like them!

Please let me know! I'd hate for all of the envelopes to be sh*tty by the time I got around to mailing them. I ordered the sample of that one and I love it!

Re: Invite Question

i love that invite. it's gorgeous.

i've had envelopes around for years and not had a problem with them.
do you know someone with a climate controlled home that you could leave them with if you're worried?
AC in the summer, heat but not too hot in the winter?

Maybe keep them in the attic where its dry?

Re: Invite Question

as long as you keep them in a humidity free area you should be fine. The sticky stuff only gets stuck when moisture hits hit.

If you smoke or anyone else smokes in the house I do not recommend it unless you want a tinge of off white on your paper.

Re: Invite Question

This may sound funny but i am in the printing business and supply lots of companies with their envelopes. The only way you'll have probelm is if you keep them in a damp hot location. Don't put the boxes in your attic or anything. Keep them in a closet inside in a nice temperature and you won't have any problems. Just think...their envelopes are currently sitting shelves waiting to be sent out. :) Hope this makes you feel a little better.
