FH has a lot of cousins who are between 18 and 25 and we aren't sure if we are going to invite them all with guests. Should we?
Also, if we don't invite them with guests, should they still get a separate invitation from their parents?
ETA: I only know of one that is in a serious relationship

Re: Invite Question
Personally, I would invite them with a guest if they are in a serious relationship.
I would give them an invitation if they live with their parents. Otherwise, they have to share.

Re: Invite Question
I think the rule is if you expect a seperate gift from them (and not with their parents) then you send a seperate invite, but if not then no. HTH

Re: Invite Question
We will be inviting anyone who's over 18 even if they're living with their parents.
But we sent only 1 STD to each family living in the same house just to cut down on expenses.

Re: Invite Question
If they are over 13 then the rules say they get their own invitation. But rules are meant to be broken

Re: Invite Question
we're only sending out separate invites if they don't live with their parents....otherwise its 1 invite for the family. also, we're not inviting relatives with +1 unless they are engaged

Re: Invite Question
No matter what, over 18 should have a separate invite. Most of them will not bring a guest if they're not in a serious relationship. I'm 22. If I was not with FH, I would be offended at not being invited with a guest at my age. Most likely I wouldn't bring anyone if we weren't dating, but it's a nice gesture!

Re: Invite Question
When I was in that age category I always felt strongly about inviting over 18's w/ a guest but now that it's my turn to do the inviting (and PAYING!!) my opinion has changed. I'm now going with ages 21-25 with a guest ONLY if they have a serious BF/GF. Over the age of 25 will ALL be invited with guests.

Re: Invite Question
Ok, we are sending 1 invite to each home. But if there is a guest living there who is 21 or over, we are sending her/him a seperate invitation and allowing them to bring a guest.
So for an example, we are inviting FH's aunt and uncle who have two children... One is 18 and the other is 22. The 18 year old is going to be on the same invitation as the parents and the 22 year is old is getting her own invitation. She doesnt have a serious boyfriend and she probably wouldnt bring a date but we felt that it was wrong to invite one cousin who is 21 (and we know will want to bring someone ) and not the other with a date.

Re: Invite Question
Actually, now that I think about it... I don't think we are going to invite her with a guest-she isnt dating anyone. And his other cousin-same age, is dating someone. So maybe we won't invite her with a guest. I need to ask my FMIL what she thinks... so confusing!!!!

Re: Invite Question
im only sending a seperate invitation w/a guest if the person is in a serious relationship...like my cousin is 25 still living at home and has been with his girlfriend so hes getting his own. his brother thats 22 and doesnt have a gf...will not get his own.
