you *really* need to have the invitation part reprinted ... you don't have to re-do the other parts (response, reception, etc.) .... but you will definitely run into problems with the gift checks at the wedding if you don't have his last name on there.

we did Mr. and Mrs. dad's first name middle initial last name. then we did my first and middle name and just FH's first name b/c he doesn't have a middle name then we did his parents Mr. and Mrs. his dad's first and lastname.

I know it suckss, but this is one of the more important parts IMO. flowers, fancy whatever isn't that important but getting your FH's name correct is very important.
Maybe the invitation company (if you had them done) will give you a discount on the reprints?
Edit: It's more the principle of it than the fact that people might not make out the checks correctly

That's one of the problems with ordering invites online ... there's no one there to guide you
Maybe ask them to give you a discount for the reprint .... it can't hurt to ask.

we just finished ordering ours and we did put both our last names on it b/c rather than put our parents individual names we just put together with their parents and so we thought our last names needed to be somewhere on it...have you already placed your order?

But it still wouldn't be right to not have her FH's name on the invitation AND not everyone who's invited to the wedding is going to know who they are without last names (his parents friends, for example ... )
I'm sorry, but I just don't see any other solution to the situation .....
Also, people don't write the checks out to 'cash' so that if they get misplaced, strangers can't just go and cash them ....

Exclusively Weddings.....I am ordering from them and I call the 1-800-759-7666 all the time. Their customer service is sooo helpful. Maybe you can talk to them? I had issues on the internet ordering my GM gifts (meaning the internet wouldn't let me choose the font FH wanted for one of the GM gifts). Called them gave my order number and they apologized to me for the mistake on the internet. Maybe if you called them and talked to them...(cried, freaked out, totally went bridezilla...but in a nice way) they could re-print them? IDK...A gal can wish can't they.
