My mom used to work for our rabbi and I am not sure what the etiquette says about inviting. I don't want to put him on the spot......
Any suggestions?

Re: Invite Question
I think he'd be glad to get an invite. He's officiating at your ceremony right? I would send him one so he could enjoy the recption too.

Re: Invite Question
I am inviting my priest, but he's a family friend, so he would be invited even if he wasn't marrying us.

Re: Invite Question
I am not using a rabbi or priest but I would think they would want to do their job and go. They really don't know anyone there, unless you are close with them, and its like any job. You want to get your work done and go home to your family.
Maybe ask him in person so he doesn't feel obligated by a formal invite.

Re: Invite Question
I am inviting my priest and, at least for chatholics, I think that is customary as they bless the meal, etc.

Re: Invite Question
I didn't, but if your mom works for him, and they have a friendship, I think it's a nice gesture. IMO

Re: Invite Question
I am inviting my pastor - he's been at my church for 2 years now, and although I don't go to church as often as I should , my family is close to him and he'll be blessing the meal at the reception.
