invite question

ok so if i am inviting a couple and there 2 teenage daughters how do i word the outside and inner envelopes

mr.and mrs.john doe

then n the inner everyones names?

should i just put doe family?

i didn't have iinner envelopes, so for saving space on outer i put doe family,
but formally outer should be mr and mrs john doe,
inside all the names listedl like:
mr and mrs john doe
julie and jane doe

you can do it either way,
but i had one like that i did
mr. and mrs.
and then listed their kids names
