Okay so I have a question about a friend I have. I met her last year through one of my other friends. I have seen her when I have gotten together for friends bdays, etc. She got married a year ago...I wasnt invited because I really didnt know her well then but I wound up going with my friend as his 'date'. We email each other all the time on facebook chatting about this and that. I just recently asked her out to dinner with a few common friends but she unfortunately couldnt make it but we have hung out a few times. My question is ..would it be weird to invite her and her husband to my wedding? I really like her a lot, she is always asking me about my wedding, I'm sure I will get together with her in the near future. I wasnt invited to hers but like I said it was when we first met..only hung out once or twice and now we are emailing each other and speaking all the time. What should I do? I dont necessarily need to invite more people as FH and I have a pretty big group of friends but I really like her and my FH likes her husband as well. What do you think?
Update: Thanks for the advice. I decided I am going to invite them to the wedding. Now as far as the shower - do you think I should invite her to that as well or just the wedding? thanks so much!!

Do you think it would look weird to invite someone considering we didnt get invited to theirs? Or is it okay in this case since we had just met them? I'm confused lol.

i think you should do whatever you want to do, if you want to invite her i say go ahead. You just explained it yourself in this post why you didn't get invited to hers. You two had just met then so you can't blame her, and sounds like a good reason. It's normal to meet someone and then become good friends with them after a short period of time, and if now your friendship has developed since your wedding then i see no reason not to invite her.

Thanks. I mean I am definitely leaning towards inviting her and her husband to the wedding. I feel a little funny since I havent seen her in a while but the fact is that we talk, stay in touch and plan on hanging out soon so I think I should (and definitely want to) invite her.

I would def invite them. . we invited this couple we just recently met but just really like. . so I say go for it. . no one will be insulted if you invite them. .
