FH and I have friends that are a couple that have been dating for 3 years. They don't live together, but are obviously coming to the wedding together as a couple. Should I mail them separate invites or mail one invite (to one of them) as a couple? Which would be proper? Thanks

Are you and FH friends with both? Or are you closer to the guy or the girl. If the latter, I would send it to Mr X and Mrs Y to his address.

I believe I read it's whoever is the closest friend, that's who you mail it to with the others name on the envelope as well.

That's what we did for some of our friends, sent to the better friend with the other's name on the envelope...

My friend who got married last year, sent my fiance and i separate invites. it was before we were 'officially' engaged and she is friends with both of us. so she thought it was nice and proper to send each of us our own invitation. i told her she didn't have to do that b/c it was a waste of an invitation and stamp and she should have just sent one. i mean, i filled out and sent his response card for him anyway!!!
send 1 invite to either your closer friend or the girl, b/c she will be more responsible about sending the response back!

We have a similiar situation. One of my friends and one of FHs friends started dating last year and live together. BUT we are going to be sending them each one.
