invite question..i hope this is the last! lol

how do I address the inner and outer envelopes...lets say you have an unmarried friend with a boyfriend (she's been dating him for 3 years) so its serious (but they aren't living together)
her name would go on the outer
and her b/f's would go in the inner?? is this correct? how would you word this..lets say her same is Erin Smith and boyfriends is Kevin Paul
outer would be Ms. Erin smith
inner would be Ms. smith and Mr. paul???

and what about a single friend invited without a guest? do you need to add her name on both outer and inner envelopes?

We did nicknames on the inner envelopes b/c they were formal on the outside but you can do it either way

Alot of people don't even do the inner envelopes they leave it blank

I would word it
Ms. Erin Smith
Mr. John ________
on outer envelope. They probably spend most of their time together anyway.
I don't think it matters that they don't live together since they have a serious relationship.

Hey Kristin!

What we did was if the person we were inviting didn't live with their BF or GF we addressed it to

Mr. Bob Smith (outter)

and inside if we knew the name of the BF or GF we put

Bob and Lisa

or

Bob & Guest

Yes...and for aunts and uncles we used 'Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Lucielle. I just think it gives a special touch instead of Mr. & Mrs.

You can do whatever you want really...it's your wedding.

This is exactly what I did, you put only the person you 'know' on the outside (you can only address it to one person since they don't live together) and than their name and boy/girl friend's name on the inside.

Here is the etiquette info that I have from my invites that I am working on:
Dates of single guests should be sent a separate invitation or you may wish to enclose a personal note in the invitation of a single guest saying, ' Please bring a guest' or 'Please bring Miss Marie Quinn'.

-We are just doing
Ms. Sarah Smith and guest

Two unmarried people who reside at the same address may be sent a single invitation. Their names would appear on separate lines in alphabetic order:
Ms. Roberta Trent
Mr. Robert Williamson

The inner envelope always carries the last names only with no address:
Mr. and Mrs. Sutton
