Re: Invite time
I thought of this issue also - we were going to put 30 minutes before, but we decided to just put the time that our ceremony is actually starting. If they're late, that's their problem! lol.

Re: Invite time
i put the regular ceremony time. my ceremony is at 2:00PM, i really couldn't justify putting any earlier.
i also included the time on the STD & everyone that knows me knows i will be on time, if not early.
if they are late then the hell with them.

Re: Invite time
Our ceremony is at the RH. We're putting 30 minutes early, and our RH will provide coffee and tea or champagne punch for anyone that's early.
His side is late to everything. All the time.

45 mins may be too much for people who get there on time. I think 30 mins should be okay, just let the usual suspects know that they have to get there on time b/c something special is happening at the beginning.
i just went to a church wedding that called for 45 min before the ceremony and i was so pissed to be sitting there for 45 min with nothing to do.
I am putting 30 min earlier. That is what my RH suggested. Our guests will be served champagne/sparkling water while they wait.

Re: Invite time
I def. want to put an ealier time on my invites because my family and some of his do not know how to get to places on time and I know I will be walking down the isle with empty chairs around me! I am a little worried however, for those people who will be there on time.... I am debating between 15 mins or 30 mins before... I def. would not do 45 mins.

Are you putting the time to be 30 or 45 mins earlier. I know that ppl usually put 30mins but ppl still come late so was thinking of putting it for 45mins. to give them an extra 15mins because I know the people that I am dealing with and they are always late.....lol
i think 30 mins is good. i was planning on doing the same..and then you can always wait a couple extra mins if it still doesn't look full enough. Putting 45 mins earlier on the invite is too much for the ppl that actually show up on time.
