Are you putting the time to be 30 or 45 mins earlier. I know that ppl usually put 30mins but ppl still come late so was thinking of putting it for 45mins. to give them an extra 15mins because I know the people that I am dealing with and they are always late.....lol

Re: Invite time
Well for my ceremony I have a few surprises and I want all of my friends and fam to be there. They do not try to be late on purpose it's just that something always comes up so I want to put an earlier time so that it gives room for them to be late. I am one who is ALWAYS late and I never mean to be so for that I wanted to give them extra time. It means a lot to me that they are there.

if its really important to you, i would just put 15mins earlier then....45mins is way to early imo

Re: Invite time
I am putting my correct time. My church blocks out from 10-10:45 for funerals. So I dont want my guests to get there early and have to sit through a funeral.

Re: Invite time
Mine is at my Rh and they said to put 30mins before anyway and I guess I'll do that. I have entertainment and food and drinks for my guets that come early anyway.

Re: Invite time
I am def. putting earlier and we were advised to do this by multiple people. I've been to weddings where the bride is walking down the aisle and someone comes running in and cuts her off so that they can get a seat real quick.

Re: Invite time
I wouldn't put earlier. On my invites i'm writing the time it's scheduled for. But if you are going to put earlier I definitely wouldn't do 45min (but thats just my opinion). I know that if someone did that to me and I had to stand around for 45 min i'd be pissed. lol.

Re: Invite time
I put it at the time it's supposed to start. It's a wedding and people should plan to get there early for the ceremony anyway, and most people will do so and won't need the extra time. If ppl are still getting there as it's supposed to start just hold off for a min or two. I wouldn't tell ppl to get there 30 minutes early bc the ppl who do plan to get there early will think that it actually starts at that time and get there WAY TOO EARLY!

Re: Invite time
I am putting 30 mins earlier, as suggested by the RH. I know most people will be there on time and they can have the drinks and snacks the RH puts out. Plus, its a Friday and I want to account for traffic since most of my guests are from the city and not used to crazy Friday traffic.
45 mins may be too much for people who get there on time. I think 30 mins should be okay, just let the usual suspects know that they have to get there on time b/c something special is happening at the beginning.
