YAY come to mine!!! It's on a Fri though at 3:30 maybe 3 pm. Our Lady of Hope!!
We can't decide if we should do 3 or 3:30. I'm thinking 3:30 because the CH starts at 7:30 as of now. I don't know waht to do with the start times. I'm going mad over it.
church 3 or 3:30 CH 7 or 7:30 (5.5 hr reception on Fri)
THEN on top of that IDK what to put for the church start time on my invite... I think I might do 3:15 for the 3:30 start. then have the ch from 7:30 to 9 then 9 to 1am is the rest of it.
What do you think of that??? I'm going to rip my hair out over this nonesense!

Re: Invite time vs real ceremony time
The 3:30 time sounds better since it's a Friday it gives people time to leave work early..hmm i will do that hahhahaha..i need the devil emoticon right now grr..lol
The CH 7:30 sounds better since it will give people some time to get there.

I think you should do 3:30 church and 7:30 CH. This way people that can't make it to the church still have time to come home and get ready for the wedding without feeling rushed. I know that I would appreciate that if I was invited to a Friday wedding.

I wouldnt put an earlier time. If there is a wedding before yours then your guests will be really confused. The ceremony before mine ran longer than expected and my uncle showed up a little early to do the bagpipes for my ceremony and left thinking he was at the wrong church.

THANK YOU!! We have been going back and forth on this for a while. I wanted 7:30 for CH and FH wanted 7. So I WIN!!! YAY!!! Hahahaha!!!
That's what I am going to do then!! AWESOME that settles that. AND as a further comprimise to the invite being on time or half hour earlier... I'll do 15 minutes. Now that I know 15 has been done before I don't feel so silly with that on my invite.
Whew!! next struggle......

Be careful with fudging times, some places get REALLY pissed off if you purposely put an earlier time.
I doubt a church will have a problem with guests arriving early. But I was threatened on pain of death by my RH (surpriiiiiiiiiiiise, surprise!) if I put 7:00 instead of 7:30 for CH start.
Same here ! I have to actually submit an invitation at my 3 month meeting before I can finish my planning and that is just for cocktail .... My church actually told me 3 times in a matter of a 4 minute convo to please make sure I put the correct time!

Are you guys getting married at the RH? Mine is a church so it might be slightly different. I know 3 or 3:30 is fine for a start time for my day because we switched it back and forth about 3 times already!! And they have been fine with that. Ugh.. so nutty!! Also, FFIL is marrying us in the church. He is a deacon. Haha it's like marrying into 7th Heaven!!!

Re: Invite time vs real ceremony time
I put the real time.... bc there are ppl like FH's anal-retentive uncle who will be there 30 minutes early.... and so that means he would be waiting an HOUR for the ceremony. That's not right.
15 minutes I guess you could get away with but like you said I didn't want to put a weird time on my invites.
