FH and i have a set of friends we used to double date with when we lived in TN. Really nice people, who we still keep in touch with.
They got engaged 5 months ago and are getting married next week. We weren't invited to their wedding, but understood, because we know how expensive these things can get, and they put it all together so quickly.
the kicker is they KEEP posting on our facebook walls telling us 'can't wait for your wedding, we'd better get an invite!!'
how wierd is that?!?!

That is weird. If it was not a week before I would say that maybe your invite was lost in the mail but if they have not gotten your RSVP by now i am assuming they would have called to see if you were attending

Ya I agree with Mara, the first thing I thought when I read this was oh the invite must be lost..but they would have prob. said something by now.

lol, for a while we were expecting an invite, because they kept asking about our wedding (which we haven't even set a date for yet).
But when we realized they're getting married next weekend, we were like whaaaaaattttt???
lol, and FH texts back and forth with the groom a few times a week,
I'm totally ok with not being invited to theirs... but quit asking for an invite to mine!!!! that is so awkard!

Hey, it is so rude when people say they better be invited. Especially people who did not invite you guys to their wedding.
I wouldn't even respond to their rude statement and if they decide to ask you directly, simply tell them....
' You know how expensive weddings are which is why we were not invited to yours and why we are unable to have you at ours. '
