Invite wording

Invite wording

Should I put FH parents on the invite?

My mom is paying for the whole RH, FH parents are giving a straight 5k, and we are paying for rest.
Should it be just my mom on the invites or his parents as well?

Re: Invite wording

I am going through the same thing. My Mom has helped us out, while we have gotten zilch from his parents. I am adamant about not putting their names on the invitation. They aren't throwing the party.

We are probably going to go with something like Erin and Rob, along with their parents, or something like that.

Or you could say something like. Mrs. X cordially invites you to the wedding of her daughter X to FH son of X & Y. That will show who is top dog. hehe

That is how I'm wording it. That's honestly IMO the best way to put it. even if his parents can't give you money I feel both sets of parents should be on the invite

Re: Invite wording

My parents are making a contribution, his mom threw the engagement party and his dad is throwing the rehearsal dinner, we are paying for everything else.

So we did:

Mr & Mrs X ,

along with Bride and Groom,

son of Ms. Y & Mr. & Mrs Z (mom, dad and step mom)

invite you...

Lucky for us, we ran it by everyone involevd and everyone was more then happy with the arrangement that we came up with.

His mom's name was on the invites for the engagement party, and his dad and step moms name will be on RD invites to give credit where credit is due.

I'm only putting our names on it despite the fact that our families will pitch in to a point. Otherwise I have his grandparents etc. if my parents have a prob w it - OH WELL!

In your situation, I like this way. It states that your mom is the main contributor but FIL's have also contributed.
