invite wording with divorced parents who are helping $$

invite wording with divorced parents who are helping $$

So, my parents who are divorced are each giving a 1/3 and then my fiance and I are responsible for a 1/3. We are just wording our invite (honestly to make it easier)

'together with their parents'

Etiquette-wise, is that really wrong???

I think this would be fine on an invitation as well

I think if that's what you want - do it! I think it sounds fine!

It does make it seem like his parents are contributing though - just an FYI.

you could do:

Ms. Mom Mommerton
Mr. Dad Dadstein

request the honor of your presence
in the marriage of their daughter...

yadda yadda

'together with their parents' is fine, but i think it makes it sound like either no parents are contributing or like FH's parents are too

Here are some options:

Both sets of parents are funding the wedding:
Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Myers
and
Mr. and Mrs. Kwame Johnson
request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of their children
Anne Catherine and Theodore Joseph
etc.

Brides parents are divorced:
either
Issued by the parent who raised her
Ms. Janet Myers
requests the honor of your presence
at the wedding of her daughter
Anne Catherine
etc.

or

Divorced parents are hosting the wedding together
Mr. Christopher Myers
and
Ms. Janet Myers request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
Anne Catherine

Divorced parent and new stepparent are hosting the wedding:
Mr. and Mrs. Marc Velez
request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of Mrs. Velez's daughter
Anne Catherine Myers
etc.

Child of divorced and remarried parents both hosting the wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Myers
and
Mr. and Mrs. Marc Velez
request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
Anne Catherine
etc.

OR

Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Myers
and
Mr. and Mrs. Marc Velez
request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of the daughter of Mr. Myers and Mrs. Velez
Anne Catherine
to
etc.
