they responded for only themselves. How am I to know if they forgot to mention the '& guest' or if they really aren't bringing one?? Should I make phone calls to double check?

I would ASSUME they meant that it will be only them if they just wrote their name - you know what happens when you *** U ME...
but they could have made a mistake, I guess it would be best to call just to make sure.

i'm with tatum....i'd just assume it's one..but as we've all learned, weddings bring out the worst in us all..so just call and clarify after the RSVP date!

If they responded for only themselves then 9/10 they aren't bringing a guest.
I've only seen RSVPs that say Ms. Jane Doe, I've never seen it say Ms. Jane Doe and NO Guest.
But if it makes you feel better to double check then give them a call!!

I'd assume they were coming without a guest since they didn't write the person's name or 'and guest' on the response card.
