Invites...

So I have a postage machine @ work, w/ a scale too.

I brought in 1 of my invites to see how much it weighed, and it weighs 1.3 ounces w/o the envelope - so that's approximately .58

Do I have to take into account that the shape is rectangular? Or is it just based on weight alone?

ALSO What amount postage for the little reply envelopes?

the little RSVP envelopes are the regular cost of a regular postage stamp...but if I were you, I would go to the post office and have the whole thing weighed to be safe...what if you do it incorrectly..etc...i feel like i hav eheard nightmare stories about postage and invites...JMO

Depends on when you're sending out your replies....if they'll all be back to you before May 12 (when postage goes up) then they just get normal 41 cent stamps.

As far as your invites...I honestly would still take one all stuffed and ready to go to the actual post office to get them weighed. I have ready MANY an instance where the p.o. randomly has it an ounce or two more or less. You also have no way to be absolutely sure your office machine is calibrated perfectly. Better to be safe than sorry.

And normal rectangular is fine. Postage is more for perfect squares and for tea length invites on top of weight.

I would bring one to the post office to double check that the prices are okay.

Definitely take them to the post office. The odd size can definitely affect the postage
