I feel so behind! I'm an April bride an my invites are still in a box on my floor!! Mom is picking up directions cards from the RH for me today (they were supposed to mail them to me 3 weeks ago...) so as soon as I get those, it's off to the P.O. I go! Probably tomorrow or Wed.

You're actually right on time.. they are supposed to go out 8-10 weeks early. We are about 1 1/2 weeks early.... Exciting yours are going out soon!!

44th & Lex...

yeah, they make you pay to hand-cancel in the city. I dropped mine off at the Church Street p.o. and was told I had to pay .05 cents for every envelope over 50. So I just brought a smaller batch of 50 each day so I didn't have to pay. And you bring them to the Inquiry & Claim window. I'm sorry your lady was such a you-know-what. Mine was actually nice about explaining it.

OMG i haven't even ordered mine yet. I'm calling at 9 am tomorrow. i know what i want just need customizing so i have to call...

have no idea what post office to take them too; maybe i'll make fh do it out in LI if they are such a pain in the city - and the one on 44th and lex is closest to work for me to so i guess i'm not going there.

I would avoid 44th & Lex.... They told me a month ago when I bought my stamps that 'maybe' they would do it. Today, they said they don't do it anymore. I feel the suburbs or maybe downtown or outskirts might be more accommodating! Good Luck w/ getting yours & sending out

definitely, thanks for the tip. FH should do it but i'm sure he will have no clue what hand cancelling even is! But they like know him at his post office b/c he sells crazy stuff on ebay
