I was going to take the afternoon off on Monday from work and go to the post office to mail out my invites..
But.... I just got off the phone with 3 offices in queens and they are all giving me a hard time. They are telling me that they dont do hand cancelling anymore. They stopped that in 2007. Which is b/s.. Any advice??? Which post office did you use? TIA Pina

total bs....i just went to glen oaks in queens monday, 1/2 hour before they cloesed and the gentleman there hand cancelled for my 69 invitations......go to glen oaks....they're open til 6:30 on monday nights! GL

I called bay terrace, because i know they have a parking lot and i called fresh meadows and flushing and they all gave me a hard time..

I would recommend whitestone where I got mine hand cancelled. I wouldnt call since they may say no. I would bring it in and ask personally and you will prob get a diff response.

go to glen oaks....right on union turnpike...in the shopping center with burlington coat factory and waldbaums.....huge parking lot, so no worries finding a spot. they're so nice there too....no plexi glass btwn u and them

I used the post office on Marathon parkway in Little Neck. They hand cancelled all of my invites-They actually told us they needed to be hand cancelled.

If that doesn't work, I had mine done at the New Hyde Park Post Office near the LIRR. It's not far from Queens.

DH mailed our invites from the Forest Hills post office on queens blvd and they were hand cancelled. he spoke to the manager of the post office there and they were handled separately from the rest of the mail.
