Are mailing out the Invitations one month prior to the response date too early??? I didn't think so. Someone said that I was giving people too much time. They might forget.
I mean evenif I mail them one month prior...guest won't get them until a week later anyway.

Re: Invites, re: mailing date...
I am also getting married 10/12/03 I am sending out my invites 8/1/03 and having my RSVP for 09/12/03. I was told to give the guests 8-10 weeks because it is a holiday weekend

I sent mine out one month prior to my response date (2months before the wedding). Its fine. I don't think you can ever give some one too much time to plan.

Re: Invites, re: mailing date...
I was told by a few stores that 8 weeks prior to the wedding is the time to mail out your invitations. Too much time, they put it in a drawer and forget about it (I actually did that with a bridal shower).

Re: Invites, re: mailing date...
I am so glad there are other 10/12 brides mailing out invites Aug. 1!! I thought it was too early, then changed my mind due to the holiday weekend. Good luck, a little over 2 months!
