Did you / will you send an invitation to your priest? Both to the ceremony & to reception after? What about a Deacon- who we'd like to invite not only to the reception (which he knows- we've already asked him to be involved) but to the reception after?

we are going to invite our priest -- we've become very friendly with him and i think its a nice gesture Plus if he comes - then we'll have someone to say the blessing

haven't given it thought, I think our officiant wouldn't stay for the reception.

We are sending invites to the priest that is doing our ceremony from here...not the PA priest...I think it's a nice touch...

Yes - we are going to send an invitation - but im not sure where. The priests at our parish dont live at the rectory - they have a house somewhere. I might just mail it to the rectory - he probably spends more time there

We are having a rabbi and a priest marry us. I was told that it's proper etiquette to send them both a formal invitation though chances are they would decline. They both did.
I suppose they may stick around for a few minutes and have a drink at the cocktail hour and that's fine.

The rabbi that is marrying us is actually the rabbi from my parents temple. I was going to seat him with some other people from the temple that he might know, but my mom said to seat him with her and my dad, to honor him. Not inviting him to the RD
