I used this one woman who I can't name on here, to do my invires. I met with her a little over a month ago. She said that she was going to work on monograms for me and have all these amazing monogram ideas for me in a week. A week goes by and NOTHING. I waited a week and a half and I emailed her and said 'what is going on?' She said that her computer crashed and she apologized but will get the mongrams for me in a week from then. One week goes by and she emails me a monogram that looks like a 5 year old did it seriously. It looked like crap. So, I looked up monograms and emailed it to her and said that I like these monograms..... She wrote me back the next day saying okay.. I'll work on more mongrams for you, and NOTHING!!! I have not heard from her it has been almost 2 weeks. Like, WTH!!!!! My mom left her a $200 deposit for my invites!!!! I can't name what company she is cuz.... you know. But, I dunno what to do.
Sorry so long, if you are still reading, what should I do?

What you made is beautiful... she made something that I can do better. I looked at my emails and she emailed me on 6/4 saying that she was going to send me more monograms later in the week.... I mean WOW. And this is a woman (Company) who I heard good things about.

I would demand my money back and RUN FOR THE HILLS!!! And start finding someone else to do my invites. When I spoke with my designer she didnt charge me a penny for mock ups of what she could do for me...
I would def find someone else ASAP! =/ If shes doing this now what will she do if you actually hired her to do your invites! You dont need that type of stress AT ALL!

I'm so sorry to hear this happened to you. I know even though this is obvious but for future reference, be careful of leaving down a deposit with ANY VENDOR unless you signed a contract with them! At this point, there's not much that can be done since you can not remember the name of the vendor. However, if you do happen to recall the name, you can file with BBB and report them for scamming customers.

I would def get my deposit back. That shows that she is not trustworthy. If it takes that long to get the monogram you can just imagine the invitations.

i hear your Invitation woes- i had an invitation NIGHTMARE where the woman never mailed me mine- with 4 WEEKS to my wedding i had to make my own within 24 hours- so if she's flaking out already- i say dispute the charge (i hope your mom put the deposit down with a credit card) and then MOVE ON.... find someone else that is reliable..... i learned my lesson- find a STORE or somewhere close to you where you can actually go to in case someting goes wrong..... good luck

Thanks guys, I know the name of the vendor, I just can't write it on here. I emailed her last night telling her that I wanted someone who was serious about my wedding and that if she has no monograms to show me then I want my money back. My mom is looking for a contract, but I don't believe there was one. I just really trusted her and she really let me down.

I would ask for the deposit back and go. What type of contract did you sign? Make sure you read it to know what you legally can do. You don't want to have to waste money bringing this person to court. Plenty of girls on here can make you a monogram and you can get your invites done somewhere else where you know things will be finished when you need it.

I would try and get your money back and go with someone else. You don't want a flake working on one of the most key components to the wedding.

Demand your money back...Hopefully your mother put it on her cc, so worst case scenario she can always dispute the charges... Cannot believe that someone would try to do business like that...
