Invites..hand write or get labels???

Ok so FH said we should get those clear labels and print a nice font...

wait I meant ME not WE lol

anyways, the labels aren't cheap and I am thinking the labels may be hard...I dunno..

what do you all think?

ps: I got a great brown metallic calligraphy pen and did it on my sample/keepsake invite and it looked good.

the labels come out to be pretty cheap.

If you've got a knack for calligraphy doing it yourself is the way to go...if you are like me and when you use a calligraphy pen some things look good and others have ink blotchy things...haha then maybe you should either print right onto the envelope (no labels) or go to a local print shop and for a pretty affordable price, they will print it for you

I printed directly on the envelopes with a very pretty font. I read all over the net that using labels was considered 'tacky'. Not sure why, but I did read that.

i did labels on my computer myself for our STDs and it was really cheap

How about printing directly onto the envelope itself?

I used MS word - and a color printer..
I downloaded a very nice wedding font and all i did was just type out the addresses and print one by one..

it sounds like a pain- but it really wasn't that bad..and it looked professionally done..
