invites...updated

Hey ladies...when preparing invites...did you receive 3 envelopes...1 to mail, 1 for the invite (to address specifically to the individuals invited ie... 'The Smith Family' on outside envelope and invite envelope would be specific names of family members) And lastly 1 RSVP? My callighrapher is saying that is standard...however, the 'lady' only sent me 1 to mail and 1 for RSVP.

Thank you for all your responses! Now would I clearly address the outside envelope or is there another way to do it? I've heard something about writing the names on the inside flap of the envelope.

Re: invites

Having the inner envelope is an option but I don't think you HAVE to have them....we're not having them either

What she said. I don't have inner envelopes, and I'm fine without them.

Re: invites

inner envelopes are the more traditional way... the more modern way is to just address the outside

Re: invites

I think the popularity of pocketfold invites has something to do with the elimination of the inner envelope. I haven't gotten an inner envelope in a long time. We're skipping it. It'll take more effort to get the main envelope addressed clearly, especially where there are kids involved, but we'll manage.
