Re: Inviting Co-workers
Well, I've been at my place for a few years but am not close with anyone. My company is huge but my immediate group is small. My boss and I don't talk to one another on a personal level and he still hasn't congratulated me on being engaged so yea he def WON'T be invited. The rest of my group is guys all of whom I don't talk to except for hi and bye. There's 3 girls. One has pretended she doesn't know I'm engaged and the other two I talk to on occasion. They ask me about the wedding all the time but we don't hang outside of work or talk every day. Plus, I don't go to work related events lol. There's another older lady who since I got engaged has become friendlier with me. She gave me a guest book so I'm not sure if I should invite those 3 or just not invite anyone.

No not at all . .. I would just be careful. For example I am a math teacher. I am friends with the majority of my department. At that point it is an all or nothing. I am inviting my entire departmen even the new teacher this year. I would feel rude otherwise. So if you dediced to invite one or two close people that is fine....just don't invite everyone but a few people.

Re: Inviting Co-workers
I've been thinking about this for a while & this is what FH & I came up with.
Engagement party: Bridal Party, close family & friends
Wedding: Since I work in a small office, I am inviting everyone & FH is inviting everyone from his work ( He is FDNY & has a small engine company so its not a lot of ppl). But I am currently trying to find a new job & if that works out before the invitations go out ( ) I probably will still invite only a few (like 2 or 3) from my current job & no one from my new one.

Re: Inviting Co-workers
I have my core list of people from work that I will be inviting: my two bosses, the other girl who works directly in my office with me (we hang outside of work, go to concerts together, etc.), one manager (who FH and I also hang with outside of work), and one manager who works in our NJ office who I absolutely adore and work with all day, everyday. Plus their spouses/partners/guests. That's it; if they all come then it'll be a nice round number of 10 total, with guests.

I'm inviting the handful of coworkers I am close with. At my old job, I'm only inviting a few.

Re: Inviting Co-workers
The rule of thumb is all or none. I'm inviting people from my workplace and I work with 8 people closely and about 20 in the office. I personally don't care, I have a right to share my special day with the people I want there but not the people who i added so it would not look bad.
