So I work on a team of 10 people (plus my boss) but I'm close to only about 3 girls that I definitely want to invite. Should I invite the whole team since we're such a small group? I know some of them won't come (they live in NJ and Brooklyn) but should I do it anyway as the gesture? Do I invite my boss either way? I'm really confused on this.

Re: Inviting co-workers
Keep in mind that inviting 11 people means really inviting 22 because of the +1's. That said, it depends on whether you really want to spend all that money on 22 people just to be nice. When I thought of it that way I realized I'd only be inviting the people I want there.

I'd def invite your boss if your inviting some co-workers.
I'm not inviting my boss but i'm not inviting anyone from my day job.

Re: Inviting co-workers
I invited all the full time workers at my office, about 7 people, but we are a tight office. I know my boss told me he would have been upset if he hadn't been invited, but i dont know if he was joking.
If you have the space for it, I would probably say invite them, if they dont attend you still made the gesture. I have some that are not able to attend, but they appreciated being invited

Ditto. If you have the space, I'd invite the whole team. If not, just invite the ones you are closer with. Just keep it discreet.

i would probably only invite the 3 people i was close to ... but i'd tell them to keep their invitation quiet since others aren't invited.
i prob would not invite my boss.
BUT if you have the space and can afford it, then be nice and invite them all

Re: Inviting co-workers
Since you know they won't come, I'd invite them anyway. I invited certain co-workers that I didn't even like but I just felt that I had to just to be fair and considerate, and they really appreciated it, and they wound up saying no anyway, so it worked out well.

Re: Inviting co-workers
i am so torn about this also. i have a group of coworkers i definitely want to invite and then a few im not sure about. but i feel bad if i invite everyone but them since we are a smaller group.
