Am I supposed to invite the officiant and his wife to stay for the reception?

We invited our priest to join us at the reception. However, he isn't able to join us. But I think it would be a nice gesture if you invited the officiant and his wife.

We are so that he could do the blessing of the food. But he has weddings after ours so who knows..
