So I've given my notice at work and I'll be moving on to a new job in 2 weeks. The question is, should I still invite my soon to be ex-boss?
She has not made my life easy during the past 2 years and the company is giving me trouble with my resignation. We've been friendly in the past, but she's not handling my resignation well.
What do you think?

i am inviting a lot of people from work but i've worked here 12 years and am very friendly with them and have hung out outside of work

Yeah I only initially included her on the guest list out of obligation because we work closely together.
I'm planning to invite a few other friends from my job but other than that nope :)

No I didn't send out STDs for this purpose lol. We gave all the 'A list' guests the information on the date and location but I didn't want to commit to inviting more people than we really can afford.
My cousin sent out STDs with her Christmas cards and ended up with 275 guests!

yeah. im not sure we would have changed much, but i am regretting sending them. Also because we forgot to send to 1-2 people ! and because there may be 1-2 we would have wanted to get out of.... not crazy #s but still!

I wouldn't! I didn't invite anyone and I'm glad because I won't be here forever plus someone who I think would have come (because we are close in age) got fired close to my wedding date and that would have been weird. Or they would have not come and I would have paid for them.

I sent out a few STDs to colleagues that I won't be working with any longer. I will still send the invites, because that the right thing to do even if they decline. But if I hadn't sent STDs, I would likely not be including most of them.

since you didn't send a STD and it doesn't sound like you have a very friendly relationship I wouldn't.. for all you know she could just take up space on your guest list and then decline either way.

I would leave her off. I have a bunch of people from my office, but I've been there for 7 years and we are a very close knit group.

if i were in your situation i would say no. Since you're moving on to a new job you really don't have to worry about it. unless you plan on keeping in touch and remaining friends outside of work, then you should.

Yeah definitely not on the list lol. I plan to invite a few of my close friends here (who I will seriously miss when I leave!) I'm sooooooo ready to get out of here though. Only 5 more days!
