i believe when you plug in your ipod into your new comp and have itunes opened you can drag your music from the ipod into the library.

Oh!! Well I know that you need a special program to rip the music from the ipod onto a computer. Syncing it with iTunes I think will delete everything! Its a pain in the a$$ when that happens. Ill try and find out what program it is.

If I remember correctly I couldn't drag my music into my new laptop so I had to download everything again. But I could be wrong since I did it like 3 years ago.

I doubt its this easy. ITunes makes it very hard because they don't want people stealing music from eachother. If it works great but I don't think so.
Nope, unfortunately you have to purchase a program - their are a few out there, and they're about $20-$25. I used copypod a few years ago, and it worked well. Just google 'copypod' or 'ipodcopy.'
