Re: Irish Brides...

My ring pillow will be made of Irish lace with real shamrocks sewn in between the layers of lace, my father will be piping us out of the church and also playing with the Nassau County Pipe and Drum band at the reception.
My toasting flutes are Waterford crystal with tiny shamrocks etched all over them...I think that’s it so far.

Re: Irish Brides...

I am having a piper at the church
My unity candle is a claddagh theme
I will put a small horse shoe charm in my boquet for good luck

A good friend of mine hired a few irish step dancers from Petri school of dance to dance during dinner.

Re: Irish Brides...

I think we might use the band Good Clean Fun. They are Irish (but play everything), and play some Irish music. For the most part, the music will not be Irish, but I know my grandparents will get a kick out of it and I had to take step dancing growing up so it'll be funny to hear!

Irish Songs
Kicking Jig
Rockin' Reel (Sally Gardens, Mrs. McCloud's Reel)
The Voyage
I Used To Love Her
Waltz Medley (Go Lassie Go, Black Velvet Band, Galway Bay)

Re: Irish Brides...

We are probably going to have a piper and play a few Irish songs. I would like to do more but my fh is cuban and isn't really into the Irish themed stuff. We'll also play some spanish music for his family.

- We had Good Clean Fun as our Band, and let me just tell you how wonderful they were played a great mix,
the whole night the dance floor was not empty.
People cant stop talking about the band, even a year later, just heard about how great they were at a family event earlier this week
if you have questions, feel free to ask.
you may be better FM me, since I am not on the bride helping bride board much.
