FH wants his son to be best man, and although I would love this I feel like he may be too young and not understand stuff. FH said he will be his BM and his friend will sign all the papers. Opinions please. Thanks Gals!!!!

I thnk that your FH must really want this, and he SHOULD do it! What better person than his own son? Think of how much that will mean to his son as he grows up! And what better way to make an official family out of everyone?

My 13 year old cousin was my Man of Honor. It's a little older, but it definitely meant a lot to them. I say go for it!

Having a son myself, I think that is such a great idea. My son is 5, and will be walking me down the aisle, but if I were a man (Thank God I'm not!) I'd have his as my best man no matter what age

Your FH should pick whoever he wants, if that's his son-great. I don't see a problem at all. As for holding the rings, whatever, someone else can do that.

he should pick who he wants, any age the son is, is fine.. some other alternatives are having him as the ring bearer, or havine 2 best men.. but he would be fine by himself.

we have friend who just did that - he had his 11 yr old be the best man....and it was beautiful....
