Re: is 1200 too much
I've been thinking about it. Are they going to edit the video or just give you all the footage? Do you want video or would you want dvd? are they putting music to it? COuld it be they gave you this price as a starter and then will include add on(for more $) once they have you there? If it sounds too good to be true.....

IMO yes. But that's coming from someone who isn't getting a videographer b/c of the cost. WHy don't you consider someone taping just 'raw footage' without the extras. You might be able to save money.

Oct2004bride, the 4500 price the other bride quoted was for both photo and video.
IMO video is better than pictures! My brothers and sisters all booked video for their wedding. They got married between 1989-2001. (I'm the last one!) Now we can watch and look back, to people who passed on (like my mom) and actually see them having a good time and dancing! Nothing beats it. Don't be cheap about this. Even if it's just getting raw footage. and again $1200 is a great price for video. (just make sure you check this person out before you book)

You really should consider on having a Videographer you watch your video over and over again. I recently received my video and my dh and I just can't stop watching it. Pictures are wonderful, but what about your first dance when your husband see you for the first time. The videographer will be able to capture these memories. If you want a Videographer I have a good one he didn't charge much his quality is good FM.

I think that's a great price, but look into what you're getting with it. We're using the same company for photography and videography, so they gave us a good deal: $1250 for videography, including a DVD with chapters.
